Vehicles in German City Found Smeared with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Authorities reported they were notified by a resident who found a vehicle in Hanau marked with reddish liquid

Roughly 50 cars have been covered with what seems to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they reported in a release.

Law enforcement state they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish liquid.

The liquid had been applied in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Officers then located multiple other marked vehicles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement state early analysis show the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.

"There is still no indication as to its source; investigators are presently not cognizant of any harm in connection with the event," they stated.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to resolve the case" and have asked to the public for tips.

An important political figure said the vandalism rendered him stunned and required to be resolved rapidly.

"This event hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the pain of the far-right terrorist attack in 2020," he posted on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine victims by a shooter aiming at residents of immigrant origin in five years prior.
