A. Semenyo

Despite the Black Stars' failure to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, which has kept the player in contention, reports suggest a major transfer is imminent. The Bournemouth attacker has a contract featuring a £65 million buy-out clause applicable for a two-week window at the start of the month. Latest reports point to Manchester City have emerged as his services. Other suitors like Tottenham and Chelsea are said to have moved on to alternative options, potentially opening the door for teams such as Liverpool or Manchester United to make a late bid.

Marc Guéhi

This England centre-back has continued to impress for Crystal Palace despite a summer move to Anfield falling through. As his contract due to expire in the close season, January is the London club's last chance to secure a transfer fee for their captain. A host of top sides, such as Manchester City and multiple continental powerhouses including Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, are believed to be interested. However, a winter exit is considered unlikely, especially given the coach's reliance on the player.

B. Johnson

This Wales forward has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at Tottenham this campaign. Although finishing as the side's top scorer last season, Johnson has begun only a small number of Premier League matches. Reports suggest the North London club is open to a transfer for the right price, thought to be in the around £40 million. Bournemouth appear to be leading the chase, with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Brentford also showing an inquiry.

This Portugal midfielder might be set for a comeback to the English top flight after a spell in Saudi Arabia. Now only twenty-eight, and with his agreement ending in the summer of 2026, he represents a potential opportunity. Clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool are connected to the player. Furthermore, there are rumours from Spain that he is prepared to take a pay cut for a switch to the Spanish giants.

Marc-André ter Stegen

The veteran Germany goalkeeper finds himself as third-choice at Barça under new coach Hansi Flick. Having lost his place and undergone an operation, a January exit looks increasingly probable. Villa were initially linked as a possible destination, but that option now appears off. Instead, clubs from Saudi Arabia and Turkey are thought to be expressing curiosity in the keeper.

Ivan Toney

This prolific English centre-forward has kept scoring frequently in the Middle East. Coming back to the Premier League could enhance his fading chances of being in the national squad. This highly-rated Turkish attacker has been in excellent form for the Italian giants this season. With his current deal running down, many English sides – including Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool – are keeping tabs on the developments. The Turin club are eager to secure the 20-year-old to a new long-term contract but are in a race to retain one of Europe's brightest young talents.

Kees Smit

The much-admired Dutch teenage midfielder has earned comparisons to a Belgian superstar for his style of play. Following starring at the Under-19 European Championship, he has become a regular in the AZ Alkmaar side. The teenager is heavily expected to complete a big-money move in January. Newcastle reportedly are frontrunners, but are facing strong competition from the Spanish champions for a signing valued at around £22 million.
